Good Choices

Good Choices

Pastor Chris recently started a sermon series on what God is speaking to our church for 2012.  For New Life Fellowship, 2012 is a “Year of Making Good Choices”.  The notes below will be updated as we go through this series and the audio messages will be posted on the sermon page.  Week 1: The Gift of Choice Too many people are content to simply take whatever happens to them Genesis 1:26-27 – Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the.

Christmas 2011

Christmas 2011

As the Christmas message this year, Pastor Chris simply read the following mix of Scriptures to remind us of God’s eternal story.  We pray that you had a blessed time of celebrating the appearing of Jesus! —— In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Do Something

Do Something

As Christians, we are all called to do something – inactivity is not an option.  The notes below are from a recent sermon, answering the questions: what should we do, when should we do it, for whom and why? Colossians 3:16-24 – Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisd.

As our church prepared to institute communion on a weekly basis, Pastor Chris preached a series on the meaning behind this activity.  The notes from this series are below and the audio messages can be found on the sermon page. Communion – weekly or otherwise – is not a prerequisite for eternal salvation .

Ingredients for Revival

The notes below are from a recent sermon by Pastor Chris. The audio can be found on our sermon page. Revival stirs many connotations in people’s minds, yet when it comes, it is often different than the picture we had. In it’s most basic sense, it means to restore life to something; Webster’s defines it as “renewed attention to or interest in something; a new presentation or publication of something old; the reinforcing of a contract” A good example of the definition of revival in Scripture is Habbakkuk 3:2 – .
